Hi, my name is Torin Mizuno and I am a graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology. I have attained my Masters of Architecture and Bachelor’s of Science in Architecture from WIT, with a concentration in adaptive interventions. During my time at Wentworth I have been a member of WAC, and I have taken a multitude of courses focusing on sustainability and passive house standards.
What really inspired me to pursue architecture was my own excitement, curiosity, and exploration of the infinite possibilities to transform the world around me. My first steps of my journey of exploration started with humble beginnings in my accredited high school CAD program where I was introduced to Revit and SketchUp. I found myself making worlds that made me feel excited and overjoyed with the environments I was able to visualize and mentally occupy. I mainly focused on residential design, imagining a bright future ahead of me, and where I could possibly be in 10-15 years. These designs earned me two Scholastic Arts Gold Key Awards in Architecture, the only student in the north-eastern region to do so that year. I immediately knew that this journey was what I wanted to pursue.
My professional opportunities led me to work for SGA, Central Ceilings Inc. and Drummey Rosane Anderson, Inc. I am grateful for each opportunity to work alongside some of the best in the industry. My drive for exploration of new and exciting opportunities has never been stronger. Lets work together and explore what the future has in store for us.
